- Mezzanines International
Mezzanines International (ex-GRoupIPC)'s strive is to make a world-wide
forum for information exchange on PMC (PCI Mezzanine Concept), IP
(IndustryPack),
PC-MIP and M-Modules mezzanine technologies. This WWW Site provides you
all the information you need to understand the benefits of using the
IP,
PMC, PC-MIP and M-Modules technology, including an up to date product
directory
and member's list.
- PC/104 Consortium
Since 1992 the PC/104 Consortium has maintained and distributed the
PC/104 and PC/104-Plus specifications and related documents, it serves
as liaison to standards bodies, and engages in a variety of public
relations
activities on behalf of PC/104. Membership is open to companies
who
offer or use PC/104 modules and who provide products that target PC/104
applications.
For additional information please contact, the PC/104 Consortium at

- PICMG
PICMG (PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group) is a consortium
of over 120 industrial computer product vendors who develop
specifications
for PCI-based systems and boards for use in industrial computing
applications.
PICMG is committed to open standards, developed by member companies who
represent a broad cross section of the industrial marketplace.
Standard developed include: Passive Packplane, PCI-PCI Bridge
Specification,
CompactPCI.
- Profibus
This PROFIBUS web site contains a comprehensive overview of PROFIBUS,
one of the world's leading vendor-independent open fieldbus standard
for
use in manufacturing and building automation as well as process
control.
This site includes a down-loadable PROFIBUS Electronic Product Guide,
a software catalogue containing more than 700 PROFIBUS products and
services
from 150 vendor companies around the world.
- VITA
Started in 1984 as an outgrowth of the VMEbus Manufacturers Group.
VITA's members consist of both manufacturers and users of the VMEbus
and
represent a wide range of market segments including military, factory
automation,
controls, telecom, test and instrumentation, and high performance
scientific
computing. VITA promotes interaction among its members as a means of
increasing
the market for the VMEbus.
- VERA + Association
VERA+ (VMEbus and Extensions Russian Association) was formed in early
1992 having the aim to promote the VMEbus family of standards in the
CIS
internal market. Today over 50 companies, involved in either
development,
production or use of VMEbus/VXIbus modules as well as in Open
Technologies
in computer automation joined our organisation. A strong relationship
and
collaboration exists between VERA+ and VITA, the VFEA International
Trade
Association, the international trade association of VMEbus and
Futurebus+
manufacturers and users, with offices in the USA, Europe and Japan.
VITA
considers VERA+ as an extension of its own organisation in the
geographic
area of the CIS. Since 1995 VERA+ is actively involved in the promotion
of open industrial networks (Fieldbusses).

- TTA-Group
TTA-Group's mission is to provide a platform for
exchanging cross-industry experience about the deployment of a data
communication architecture for safety-critical systems.
TTA-Group promotes cross-industry technologies for a time-triggered
solution and concentrates on the aerospace, special vehicles, railway,
and industrial control industry, where aerospace requirements for
safety-critical applications have to be fulfilled at low cost.
TTA-Group has no intention to standardize technologies and solutions
for the automotive industry. This is done in other consortia such as
FlexRay and AUTOSAR. However, automotive members of TTA-Group benefit
from the synergy of cross-industry experience and know-how in
technology-oriented and application-specific working groups.
TTA-Group gives guidance and recommendations to other groups and
consortia in terms of safety issues from a cross-industry point of view.

- CAN in Automation (CiA)
CAN in Automation (CiA) is the international users’ and manufacturers’
organization that develops and supports CAN-based higher-layer
protocols. All activities are based on CiA members’ interest,
participation and initiative. CiA representatives actively support
international standardization of CAN protocols and represent the
members’ interest in national and international standardization
committees, such as ISO and IEC. CiA members initiate and develop
specifications that are then published as CiA standards. These
specifications cover physical layer definitions as well as application
layer and device profile descriptions.
CiA representatives speak at international conferences and fairs about
CAN and invite other organizations to jointly develop profiles.
CiA’s web site represents an important medium to get information about
CAN technology as well as the activities of the organization. The
organization provides a free-of-charge inquiry service for device
developers, system designers, and end-users.
